Details

Cunningham’s classic introduction to Wicca is about how to live life magically, spiritually, and wholly attuned with nature. It is a book of sense and common sense, not only about magick, but about religion and one of the most critical issues of today: how to achieve the much needed and wholesome relationship with our Earth. Cunningham presents Wicca as it is today: a gentle, Earth-oriented religion dedicated to the Goddess and God. Wicca also includes Scott Cunningham’s own Book of Shadows and updated appendices of periodicals and occult suppliers.

About the Author

Scott Cunningham practiced magic actively for over twenty years. He was the author of more than fifty books covering both fiction and non-fiction subject matter; sixteen of his titles are published by Llewellyn Publications. Scott’s books reflect a broad range of interests within the New Age sphere, where he was very highly regarded. He passed from this life on March 28, 1993, after a long illness.

Reviews

Scott Cunningham’s A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner is just one of the many books a beginner should have on their shelves. It’s always a handy read and I believe the first book on wicca I read. While my path has lead elsewhere this is still a book I will not be throwing away as it has a lot of useful information in it.

The way scott writes makes you feel very comfortable and important. After reading this book and a few others I came to the conclusion maybe Wicca isn’t for me but general witch craft with a few elements thrown in is. The book has lots of great information no matter which path you choose! Great read.

I bought my original copy decades ago and still love it today, Scott’s simple approach to the craft is a breath of fresh air compared to some over blown ‘authorities’ that are around. His deep spirituality will be missed by the community.

A really fascinating book for a newbie, explains everything in detail. Really beautifully and concisely written. Everything you need to know to assist you in embracing Wicca.

A great book for beginners and to keep in rotation for reference! I bought this book years ago but lent it out and decided to get another copy to replace it, it really is the perfect source of info for anyone new to practice and offers great reference and ideas for starting out, written in an informative but casual way it takes the imitation out of first discovering Wicca! Lots of great info and tips that are good to bookmark and keep on hand and lends great starting points to incorporate into your own book for shadows or mirror book. I would recommend this to anyone interested in or already a part of Wiccan practic
